Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

South Texas College of Law Houston affords all of its students their full rights as required by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).  This law protects the privacy of students and provides students the right to inspect and review education records.  The College will obtain a written consent from a student before disclosing personally identifiable information from the education records of the student, other than directory information, except as provided in FERPA and the guidelines and procedures adopted to implement FERPA. Those guidelines and procedures will be published in the Student Handbook and provided to the students here.
