As the calendar flips to 2021, South Texas College of Law Houston is pleased to welcome Aaron M. Reimer ’07 as the new president of its Alumni Association board of directors.
Reimer, a partner at Jenkins & Kamin LLP in Houston, proudly has served STCL Houston as a contributing member of the Alumni Association board of directors and Young Alumni Council since 2014.
Elected by his fellow board members as president-elect in 2020, Reimer has spent the last year serving in this role alongside Ryan Haun ’06, immediate past-president of the school’s Alumni Association board of directors.
Board certified in family law, Reimer practices both family law and appellate law. In addition to representing parties in complex divorce litigation, he represents clients in negotiation of premarital agreements and partition agreements.
Following his graduation from STCL Houston, Reimer continued his education at the University of Houston Law Center, pursuing an LL.M. in taxation. The specialized training he received provides him added depth of knowledge when handling complex property issues for clients, and makes him an invaluable asset to the firm’s marital property team.
While a student at STCL Houston, Reimer clerked for the Honorable Judge Georgia Dempster of the Harris County 308th Family District Court. He also clerked for the Honorable Justice George C. Hanks Jr. of Houston’s First Court of Appeals.
Elected to a two-year role as president of the Alumni Association board of directors, Reimer concurrently serves as a member of the STCL Houston board of directors.
