Eric Williams II Only 2022 National Jurist Law Student of the Year Named from a Texas Law School

Eric B. Williams II, a third-year student at South Texas College of Law Houston for whom law is his second career, was the only honoree from a Texas law school named a prestigious National Jurist Magazine 2022 Law Student of the Year. He is featured in the publication’s edition released March 9.

“Individuals of Eric’s character, capability and accomplishment are rare,” said South Texas President and Dean Michael F. Barry. “He is well-deserving of this recognition.”

STCL Houston Recognizes 2021 Presidential Fellows with Virtual, Honorary Event

South Texas College of Law Houston recently was pleased to host an honorary, virtual event for 2021 Presidential Fellows — the law school’s 1L students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

Alumna Genora K. Boykins ’85 Elected Chair-Elect of South Texas College of Law Houston Board of Directors

South Texas College of Law Houston (STCL Houston) is pleased to announce the election of alumna Genora K. Boykins ’85 as chair-elect of the board of directors for the nearly 100-year-old law school. Confirmed by her fellow board members, Boykins has served on the school’s board of directors since March 2012.

Boykins is the first woman and African-American to win election to this key leadership position at Houston’s oldest law school.
